Dr. Nikhil Parchure, MBBS, MD, MRCP (Lendonl, FRCP (UK), is a Consultant Cardiologist at Apollo Huspitals, Navi Mumbai. He is also certified for the Completion of Specialist Training ICardiologyl from the Royal College of Physicians, London. He has more than 31 years of experience in the field of Cardiac Sciences.

After completing his education in India, Dr. Parchure went to the UK to complete his training in Cardiology at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital & St George’s Hospital in London. He was also appointed as Consultant Cardiologist at Queen Mary’s Hospital, Sidcup Hospital and St Thomas Hospital, London.

Dr. Parchure has also served as the Lead for the Cardiac Catheter Laboratory at Princess Royal University Hospital.

His areas of special interest lie in Complex Angioplasty, Intra-coronary Imaging. Cardiac Devices Implantation and Heart Failure.

Dr. Parchure holds the fellowship of Royal College of Physicians and has been conferred with a Clinical Excellence award at South London Healthcare NHS Trust in 2004.

He is an avid contributor to academic journals and has many publications to his credit. Dr. Parchure has also been actively involved in research and teaching.

The start was initiated with a request for a treatment plan, the procedures and costs involved at Apollo Ahemdabad, Gujarat. The Kenyan Apollo office managed by Mr.Jinesh Sanghavi was superbly efficient in timely provision for treatment for stomach MALT lymphoma with the above mentioned information. They managed all the travel logistics very well including Covid protocols, and also the liaison with the Apollo Hospital International Gandhinager Bhat, was efficiently done. Our accommodation choices were well communicated and organized as per our choices. We were well managed and settled in the hotel of our choice upon arrival in Ahemdabad on 20th June,2022. On 21st June, the consultation with our doctor, Dr Chirag Shah, Oncology and Hematology Head, was timely managed by the International Travel desk, by Mr. Irfan. Dr. Chirag was well spoken and professionally learned and eloquent in his meeting with us. He examined our current reports from Kenya and instructed a series of tests to evaluate the patient's present condition. The tests involved CBC, Liver, PET, CT, Endoscopy and Biopsy. These in entirety took 2 weeks and on the next consultation Dr. Chirag said there were no need for intensive Chemotherapy as the tumor was in its early stage and the right method was to use mild radiation therapy. He explained the various therapies and their uses and why radiation was most suited in this case. He answered all our concerns including the side effects professionally and clearly. We were to meet Dr. Vivek Bansal , Senior Consultant Radiation Oncology. On Friday 1st July, 2022 Dr.Vivek and his team , were professional in explaining the tumor, and its treatment plan, including the side effects, in detail. There would be 15-20 daily sessions of radiation, 5 per week, MON - FRI , lasting for about a month. There would be blood and liver monitoring tests every week and a required CT scan test about halfway of the schedule. We were in agreement and the treatment commenced on the 5th. The next 4 weeks were routine with daily radiation sessions as instructed and weekly meetings to evaluate the progress. During this period Irfan Mohammed was extremely very helpful in various issues. Hotel , local and international travel, accounting n finance, coordination and liaison within Apollo depts, local phone connectivity, general information, logistics and planning and many other areas. On the last week, on 25th July,Dr. Vivek instructed a further 5 sessions that would end the radiation therapy on 5th Aug. The results were positive, and the stomach lining had narrowed down significantly. We completed these extra 5 sessions on 5th August,2022 and held our last consultations with both head doctors and their respective team members. The prognosis was same from both. Radiation results will be fully seen in the next 2-3 months. Most side effects will also disappear by then. Various tests of blood, endoscopies, biopsies, CT were to be conducted over regular intervals for a period of 2 years and discontinued if the results showed no stomach tumor. A further 3 years of monitory testing over 6 monthly intervals was also prognosed. A monthly dosage of oral medications were also instructed. Both doctors have given their contacts for any future consultations if required. The treatment has a high success standing ratio of about 90% and we were assured of this as future expectation. We would like to express our deep gratitude to all the doctors(too many to name individually), staff and all departmental personnel for a well-orchestrated team that comes highly recommended. It has been a very satisfactory experience to say the least! Well Done Apollo Hospital International, Gandhinagar, Ahemdabad!

I would recommend using Apollo Information centre services. I join the many other people who've benefited from their services. I had many questions and concerns prior to my trip & i'm thankful for the assistance i received in many ways --> travel/covid/visa advice, alignment with Delhi international team, questions on insurance etc. Any question i had was never too much for the team. After long time I have decided to my experience in Apollo multispecialist hospital in Kolkata India. The facility big and well kept. Doctors,nurses, chefs and cleaners are so helpful. However I didn't like the attitude of the international desk staffs, 1, they booked us to expensive arb house and they were not willing to assist me to get a cheap and safe place. But surprisingly we managed to get a cheap house just a few blocks from the one they had booked, I believe someone was making money from our stay there.wa 2, Patients should not be asked to pay for OPD because there are some procedures that can be done while you are not admitted. 3, International desk staffs should be taken for exposure tour in New Delhi or Mumbai to learn how to deal with international patients. 4, I was decived that they would provide us with transport our antire stay but we're given transport only on three occasions,two airport transfers and the first day we went to the hospital. Lastly to Apollo insurance desk I am requesting to get a refund of money that I paid in cash for OPD ,tests and the drugs. I am thankful to the Apollo and Minet team for encouragement and the surport you accorded us during our travel. God bless you all.

The preparation for travel was efficient The reception from the airport and transfer was well-done . The reception at the hospital was very well done The diagnostic processes was very fast facilitating timely initiation of treatment Doctors are very professional ,competent,always available and thorough in their reviews, interactions and follow-through .l mention our lead Doctor Punit Jain, Dr. Rowan, Dr. Shishi Cheti and his team of surgeons, and all other Dr. whom we interacted with. The cost of seeing a specialist is very modest and there's no beaurucracy. When on Chemo, other supportive treatment and therapies need to be well thought through. For instance every time l had an issue / side effect / L had to go back to my primary Doctor for internal referral. The time taken by the primary Doctor to explain some of the concerns was sometimes sometimes short. Much as we appreciate the busy schedules, every patient needs to have their questions and concerns adequately addressed especially when dealing with conditions that are not well understood and life threatening. On accommodation, there is arranged accommodation in furnished guest houses. ( Appr 1,000$) self catering. The cost was found a bit high compared to a similar AirBnb in Kenya which would cost about 60-70 $. I would recommend Apollo hospital to any other family in need to efficient diagnosis and initiation of treatment. Most of the equipment are available therefore no wastage of time. My journey with Apollo Information Centre started in June 2019 with Dr. Jignesh R. Sanghavi who was based in Nairobi and was introduced to me by Dr. C.K. Musau after a failed craniotomy to clip some two aneurysms in my head which needed urgent attention. Dr. Jignesh then introduced me to Dr. Sunil Kutty who assured me that Apollo Hospital Mumbai was well equipped and had competent neurosurgeons who were well conversant with non invasive surgeries. On arrival to India, Dr. Kutty introduced me to Dr. Vishal Shafle who is such an expert in neuro cases and non invasive surgeries. He is such a great doctor in handling his patients, so calm, compassionate and brilliant in relieving a patient's fears and replacing them with hope and determination to get well. Dr. Vishal did not disappoint and, I am so proud of him and will forever be grateful and thankful to him. After I was contented with the choice of hospital and comfortable with the doctors who were going to handle my case when I got to India, Dr. Jignesh then introduced me to this fantastic youn lady called Catherine who is great person inside out! I had travelled before but not on medical grounds so the travel procedure was strange to me and rough at some point, I had all kinds of fears from how I and my team will get to the hospital from the airport as i did not know how the taxi system operated there and my PA was new to all these too then add the confusion and fears that come with ill health, our accommodation before and after the procedure, kind of food available in India etc. etc. but here comes Catherine who is efficient and well armed with all this information including contacts for relevant persons in each case if need be for further querries, booking, confirmation etc. I remember at some point I had issues with applying for our visas and Catherine took her time to walk me through the application untill it pushed through. She never complained of my many calls and messages even at wired hours... God bless you Catherine. Are you a patient or do you have a patient who needs medical attention in India? Apollo hospitals is a group of hospitals with a difference. Well equipped with modern technology facilities and equipments, proffessional doctors with a strong passion for their work and great staff in general. I gave them a silent slogan: "patient first, all else follows" as this was what I saw in all the consultants who attended to me at one point or another. Nurses, administration staff etc cannot be forgotten either for their exemplary services with much love and care and neither can the staff in the international office be forgotten for their great support mechanisms in all circumstances. They liaised smothly with the Apollo Information Centre office in Kenya to ensure that patients were well taken care of and have all the information, support and care they needed away from home. Catherine and team at Apollo Information Centre Nairobi, you all deserve a pat in the back and warm hugs for the great support and smooth communication even after the patients comes back home. For more than a year, all the medicines prescribed to me came from Apollo Hospital Mumbai thanks to Catherine and team. Their communication system is professionally friendly and perfect and so far, all the patients I have reffered to the team have not been disappointed. To the team involved from the beginning of my medical journey in India to the end which includes Dr. Jignesh, Dr. Kutty, Dr, Vishal, Catherine, Obaid, Sarita, Aashlesha, Swapnil among others, God bless you beyond measure as you continue to serve humanity at their weakest moments and God bless Apollo hospitals' team at large.
