Cretum International Limited, Kenya (Apollo hospitals information centre) hosted One Apollo Scientific symposium in partnership with Apollo hospitals, India and National Cancer Institute- Kenya (NCI-K) on Thurs, 3rd Oct, 2024 at Rosa Villa Kempinski hotel, Nairobi. Approx 85 clinicians attended this event. The speakers at the event included Prof. Ronald Wasike, consultant Breast surgeon at AKUH, Nairobi, Dr. Venkatesh Munikrishnan, senior consultant Robotic and colorectal surgeon, Apollo Proton Cancer Centre, Chennai, Dr. Ashvin Tamhankar, Surgical oncologist, Robotic surgery- Urology, Dr. P.S. Sridhar, Radiation oncologist, clinical lead Cyberknife and Dr. Arvind Sukumaran, Senior Neurosurgeon, Apollo Proton Cancer Centre, Chennai.
The occasion was graced by Mr. Dinesh Madhavan, President Oncology and International.
While delivering keynote address Mr. Madhavan emphasized the need to collaborate and assist in improving quality of life for oncology patients. Mr. Jignesh Sanghavi Senior GM – Coporate Development (East Africa) closely interacted with several clinicians and briefed on opportunities available at Apollo Hospital Group for training.
Dr. Kiarie Gladwell, senior consultant medical oncologist, chaired the panel discussion. The other members included Dr. Andrew Odhiambo, medical oncologist, Dr. Dulcie Wanda, Radiation Oncologist, Dr. Edward Sang, Gynec Oncologist, and Dr. Peter Wanyoike consultant Neurosurgeon.
